We had a great Memorial Day Fun Fly! Well attended... APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE!!

But then... less than 8 hours later...

Tornadoes hit the Dayton area.... and the Wingmasters Field took a direct hit
Gone are....
Shelter
Charge Station
15 picnic tables
storage shed with ....
2 mowers - Toro Zero Turn, Cub Cadet
weedeaters
leaf blowers
portable charge station
racing gates
PA system
2- Eflite Apprentice Trainers and buddy box systems ( trainer nights suspended until further notice)
Grill and propane tanks
metal shelving
Various Club Supplies for fun flys
We were finally able to get into the park a week later.... there are about 150 pictures of the damage at the field on the wingmasters website
wingmasters.org.

The Club is applying to the AMA Disaster relief program. We also will be opening a GoFundMe page... when the page is active I will add the link to this post.

Curious if AMA insurance covers that?? :-(

At least the field is still there. Keep us posted on the cleanup.

Wake up! Time to fly!
If you are a sanctioned club under AMA the insurance should help. Also they have grants for field upgrades / repairs specifically for times like these. Go to the AMA site and apply for the grants as well as filing the insurance claims. It probably wont cover full cost of all that was lost but every bit helps.
