I'm a big fan of the DC-3/C-47. I've been entranced by its history and design.
But my mind has just been blown. I found out that not only are they continuing to fly, not only are they being re-furbished, but they are being completely re-built for future service with turboprops and modern electronics.
At one point, the narrator says that they do this 'cause they can't find a modern plane to do the job better. If true, what a waste! Surely we can design better after 80 years!
