Delta Wing CG

When determining the CG of a delta wing, where is the best place to put your fingers?

For example, on a rectangular wing I'll place my fingers underneath the wing at the wing tips at the CG line which is a percentage away from the wing leading edge

On a delta do I keep my fingers at the leading edge of the wing along the calculated line of the CG at the root chord or closer to the center of the wing?

On flying wings what I like to do is put a couple of pins (the ones that have big round heads) in the bottom of the wing at the CG just a few inches apart(both sides of center).
A couple of glue dots can accomplish the same thing,
