PETG prints very thin (never tried it) - my experience with PC has never been good often with shrinkage pulling the thing off the bed!

@Wildthing - sadly my ship 1.5m x 1.0m is on the heavy side currently without 2x5g servos, Rx and battery it is already at 280g - it is a learning curve - my v1 Dlg was 260 AUW so I shouldn't be surprised - the next one will be lighter!

I little research seems to suggest under 15kph winds we should be under 9oz for good performance, but over that we need weight!

FYI the wings are 180g and the fuse is 100g.

I am afraid to scale mine, I know my wing was 130 or 150gr just by itself.

Didn't work today because of rain so I got some progress done. My pull pull deal is working :) . The little white tubes I got from the kids water balloon kit, it hooks to the water hose and fills up about 20 balloons all at once and those tiny tubes I said I may need those somewhere done the line and worked out perfect. They are cut to about 60mm, just enough to guide the wire at each end in and out of the shaft. I had to stand the servo so for clearance for the servo arm a little heat and bent them down which gave me just enough room.

Now to see if my rx will fit in there , plus I need to see what I can use for a battery. May need to take one of my older 1300 3S battery and turn it into a 2S ;)

@Wildthing - nice - I see you went with the pull-pull and bank and yank - I need to pull my finger out and affix my wing - with fewer servos in the fuse you will need some nose weight - can wait to get the AUW and see her fly!

well, I fitted the final two servos for the ailerons at lunchtime and I am finally taking home the DLG to finalise the wing join and mount to the fuse - I think I will need a spacer between the two aileron pushrods to prevent flex when 'pushing' - otherwise it is pretty sweet and I am happy (the jury is still out on the weight)! :D

That looks really busy in there but nice and clean.

We are ready for testing, 2 AA nimh batteries soldered together because that is the smallest I have for batteries :D . I did have to add 21gr of lead for balancing and all loaded up she comes in at 337gr. I need to go pick up some Gravol pills to help with motion sickness for when I go to launch this guy :D :D .

@Wildthing - I am guessing you are left-handed (throwing peg on right-wing)! I might need some of those pills too! Have a look at flyboa launch video, he does not spin too much and throws quite gently! :D

even with one servo up front there is not much space left - I hope mine all fits (will surely be touch and go)!

Looks sweet!

Hey, just thinking that being left handed I will have an advantage (which I think left handed people have anyways :D ) , but when I launch my right hand is on the stick , where is yours going to be?:eek:
