Hi guys! I'm at hobbytown and they have a night timber x evo for 280 on sale. I've been wanting a bigger full fuse 3d plane and was originally saving for a flex laser or skywing 48 laser. But this seems like a good deal. Should I save up or get the timber? I would need to also change the spectrum RX to a flysky for my i6x (they don't have a PNP in stock)

PS. I just joined my local rc club! Yay

Be aware that the Stabilizattion and SAFE modes are part of the stock RX, not a seperate flight controller. You will have raw PWM unless you use some other form of stabilizer or FC.

We have the Night Timber X and it has been a total blast. That’s less than what I paid. If it’s in good shape and I didn’t have one already I would snag it.

great airplane. you might look into a cheap used spectrum tranny, instead of changing the rx.

another question for u guys: my flysky is showing some age and i would like to get a frsky x18rs, but I also dont have a full fuse 3d plane and would really like to have one. Would it be better to get the transmitter or the plane so i can improve my skills?

Neither are going to improve your skills. Only more flight time will do that. If you want a challenge, take your current plane and move the CG back 1/4 inch OR increase the throws, you will find you have a whole new plane to explore.

But to upgrade your Tx or a better plane is completely a personal choice.
