Downsizing FT Plans?

Howdy, folks...

I'm shrinking the updated 2025 Super Scout XL plans I have from my FTCA membership by 62.5% so I can scratch the original Simple Scout with the same updates. Might I need to change the recommended motor size from the original Simple Scout even with Super Scout XL sized down to the same proportions? I reckon I'd ultimately know the result after the first flight of the new build, but what do you think or does anyone have similar experience? I don't imagine any significant weight gain would be added unless the ply wing brace & two wing mounting screws majorly change things or affect the CG. Thanks & Happy Halloween. I pray y'all are safe & well.

Best regards,

When shrinking or enlarging FT plans, the CG marked on the new plans will in the correct spot for the scale you are using. The problem comes from the width of the A or B folds, it will no longer fit the foam board. You will need to mark the correct width on the new plans.
I'm just going to print out the standard Simple Scout plan schematics & overlay on the downsized one's to get the correct fold locations. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
