Drone help!!

Hey I’m building a drone for a school project and I am struggling to get my drone flying. I am using the Hobbywing XRotor 45 amp 4 in 1 stack and I can get the motors running in betaflight but I cannot get the drone to run with the controller. For the receiver I am using the Frsky v8fr lol and the Qx7 remote. I’m not totally sure what I need to run for a signal whether it’s PPM, SBUS, or tx. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated I really need help!

I don't think you're going to be able to use that Rx with any modern FC as it only outputs PWM signals which require 1 wire per channel. You'd be much much much better off with an R-XSR or regular XSR which still seem to be on sale everywhere. SBUS is how you want to connect, unfortunately that Rx doesn't support it.

Any SBUS or CPPM capable Rx will work. My current favorite is the R-XSR, though the older XSR's can be found cheaper. They're a bit bigger, but still a lot smaller than the V8FR.
