Can anyone help please. Have DX6 and lemon 7ch rx with stabilization. I cannot get tx to switch stabiiluzation on/off. All setup correctly on rx and assigned switch to channel 5 on rx but when turned on rx shows red led ( stabilization off) using switch on tx does not change this to green (on) !!

I have managed to get switch assigned and can turn stabilization on/off on rx. Does anyone know if that's it on the gen2 lemon rx or should it have 2 levels of stabilization?

It is on or off, double and triple check that all control surfaces are moving in the correct and correcting in the right direction when stabilization is on. Left wing tip down left aileron goes down, same for all surfaces. I totaled a newly built plane when surfaces were fine from transmitter but wrong for stabilization.

The LemonRX gyro RX I have was a piece of cake to use. Had three potentiometers on it for adjusting the sensitivity for roll, pitch, and, yaw. Also had a master gain channel on the RX to help dial it in or make speed related adjustments. The AS3X required a special cable to make adjustments. The newer AS3X RXes can be configured directly on a spektrum TX.

YMMV

Thanks for the info. I have a Spektrum NX8+ and have been using AR630s with AS3X. I was looking for a cheaper alternative hence the Lemon. Nobody told me I'd end up with all these planes once I stopped crashing!!!

Funny thing is when I maidened my FT cub, I had put the lemon gyro RX in it because it was the only RX I had laying around. Once I got the plane in the air, there were some issues getting it to fly well. (turned out to be flexy pushrods among other things) I flipped the gyro on and it was a night and day difference. No autoleveling, just strictly a gyro.

This has been my experience also. I very rarely have no wind where I fly, and the gyros smooth out the flight to be enjoyable. I experimented with a cheap Orange 6ch, no gyro. It cost me my nnChipmunk.

Just tested the Lemon on my Hobbyzone Carbon Cub S2 (my first "real" plane). It handled 8-10mph with gusts to18 better than when it had the factory flight controller! This is my experimental plane so if I destroy it I won't feel too bad. This plane was almost uncontrollable when I tried an Orange 6ch with no gyro in the slightest breeze.

Just like Litterbug said, setup is very easy. I did have to change stabilization direction on the rudder and elevator but otherwise everything worked great. I left the physical pots on the rx at 50%, and set master gain to the rotary knob on the tx and adjusted it down until I had little to no oscillation.

Now to install it in the next project, the FT bronco.

Well...... I guess I had to learn the hard way @Bricks

Forgot to reverse the ailerons in the Lemon after I made some mods to the wing and reversed the direction on the TX, IMG_20250330_075256327_HDR.jpg

There endeth the lesson. Luckily all hardware and battery were fine. It flew so well on 4s that I will build another.

That thing looked good in the air!

Bronco #2. Triple checked my gyro directions and did the maiden today in light gusts and it flew well.
