DX6e and simulators

Hello All!

Wife got me a DX6e for Christmas. I want to be able to train on a simulator but am having some trouble. First I was leaning towards Phoenix because it works with DSMX/DSM2 but it needs a trainer port and the 6e doesn't have a trainer port. Is there a way to get the RealFlight wireless interface to work with a Spektrum transmitter? Or maybe a solution to make Phoenix wireless?

Did you figure this out? I am looking to buy my first radio and the DXE looked like a good match except for the missing trainer port. I was hoping to have the radio work on Realflight.

I built my own wireless adapter by copying the technique in this article:

Supposedly you can buy adapters but I opted to make my own rather than wait for one from China.

I use the Dx6e and I use the drl sim using the wireless dongle from spektrum. It's about $40 but it works very well no setup required (except some channel reversing) I searched for a long time trying to find a solution to this problem and this seamed like the best way and I don't regret it.
