DX6E Firmware Update Problems

I tried downloading the latest firmware update for my dx6e and the status bar has been stuck at around 10% for a little over an hour. I followed all the steps. I bought a fresh 2gb SD card (and formatted it just in case), downloaded the SAX file and didnt change it, ejected my SD, inserted it into the TX, and powered it up and it started working fine (or so I thought) and got stuck on 10%. I have updated the firmware in the past and this has never happened.

Are you sure you have the right firmware for your transmitter?

So this took me forever to work out, its the write speed of the SD card you are using. When i tried to update my TX it kept locking up. wheather it was on start up or manualy selecting the firmware it locked up every time. worked out that even when i wrote the serial number to the card it did the same thing, at this point i had tried 2 cards with no luck, formated both and even tried to paartition one (i know some devices dont like it too big (lol)). found on another fourum that a couple people were having a similar issue (https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=635548), turns out it can be the write and read speeds of the card. so card number 1 and 2 were U1 V10 , new card U1 C10 and it worked straight away, went from version 1.2 straight to 2.11 with no issues. Hope this helps
