I have always found it difficult to cut a nice bevel edge when making hinges. This Idea works well for me. Hold the Knife at an angle while cutting. Give it a try.

It creates a double bevel. Nice!

When you lack that FT dexterity to cut nice bevels you come up with your own.

I like yours, I like mine better and I need to do like you and make a 50s video showing it.

Whether you are painting in oils or making DTFB airplanes, it's not wrong if it works.

Somebody used to make a 45 degree double edge razor blade block plane. Made really nice not messy bevels, but would cut too deep if you werent careful.

Cay people still buy a double edged safety razor?

Simply drawing a line (1) foam thickness from the edge to follow is a huge help for me, and if you cut *just* through the paper on said line (with a straightedge) before doing the final bevel, your blade can follow this cut from underneath while it rides on the outer edge of the opposite side and they come out machine-perfect without any special cutters or jigs. Unless you sneeze.

Gave up biplanes with both wings having surfaces. Way too much work and didn't roll faster at all
