Crazy flyer/crasher :D
Yeah the components look fine but how are you going to attach the props to the motors?! I can´t find anything in the list.

You said you´ll get control board and a bunch of 2200 mah batteries later. I don´t know where you´ll put this in which order but I think you need some cables to attach the board to your receiver, don´t you.
They are linked straight under the control board itself when you go on HK´s website.

Also depending on how long your arms are going to be, you´ll need servo wire extensions.

Motor comes with prop saver.

You're right! I'll put that in now.

Ok. Maybe I can just cut and extend the cables normally.

What's the theory on getting the KK later?

It's out of stock right now.

So. After reading that multicopters don't work well with propsavers, I started to look for 3mm prop adapters. Will one (I mean three, it's a tricopter, duh) of these work?

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8722

These look better to me:

Pgerts recommended these but they're out of stock:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5572

These are buddycoded $0.78 These are my most probable choice.:

I also grabbed these 20 cm Male to Male connectors (which are actually female to female)
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...uddycode=B3D65395-C8BF-45AB-9AFF-40ED889FEB95

I have put 3 meters of this in my cart, (It's cheaper than extensions):

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know what size bullet connector to get for the 24gram motors. Anyone?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Me is now tired of thinking, what else do I need? Are the ESC power wires enough to do the soldering job?

Nice shopping list Colorex!
About the shaft adapters, I prefer the collet type like you have in your list above.
Compared to the grub screw type, the collet type are shorter and therefore cause less balance issues.
When you do decide for the grub screw type, choose the ones without alloy cone.
These are sometimes not realy round and will then also cause vibrations.

Get these 3.5mm bullet comnectors:

SAD NEWS:

After looking too much at David's page, I began thinking about the purpose of this project. I'll mail David and see if he thinks it's worth to make this tricopter, or if it's better to make a V2.5 tricopter.

Those red connectors have a very tight fit...
I ordered a lot of them but they are still in the bag.
But I use the gold connectors and shrink tube, they are good.

I hope David replies !!

P.S. Do you have enough 16AWG wire ?

I took the time to compile the HK shopping list with and without buddy codes:

Without buddy codes:

With buddy codes:

That is $23.18 savings!

But if I decide to go this (more expensive) way, I'll have to work out those BK items, and that $20 MG servo. I can also source parts locally.

At 1400 grams, the shipping would be $23.59.

I'll see what I'll do.

Colorex, that is quite some saving there !!
About these : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12314__Hex_Screw_M3x16_20pcs_.html

What plate material are you gonne use ?
10x10mm tubes leave 6mm for the screws.
When you also use 3mm plates, there is no thread for the M3 nuts left.
Perhaps, depending on the material used, you should ord the 20mm screws...

Don't save money on the servo ..
I use the Hitec HS-82MG.
Also expensive but it will make or break the flying quality.

I will use 4mm plywood for sure.

The screws just were on the list. I can get screws here if I want.

I'll take your word on the MG servos. I was initially going to use HXT900 but now I see what a fool I was (minor crash ► broken servo).

Everything is just sketchy. I won't order till a while after Chinese New Year.
