Yes but it would need a HUUUGE battery to get any sort of flight time. EDF’s are very inefficient compared to props. You won’t gain anything vs a conventional quad and will spend a lot more money as well.

It would probably be wayyyyyyy to loud as well.

I'm not sure that's workable. EDFs usually take time to spool up and down whereas quads need extremely quick thrust changes for flight. Even balancing the thrust between 4 EDFs for hovering may be problematic.

He has done all his design, build, and programing himself.

Look up monophan, duophan, and triphan.
