Edge 540 modifications and builds.

I am going to be building a "BushEdge", and I just bought the speed build kit. If any of you want mod ideas for the Edge, this is the thread for you!

I DEFINITELY do!! Especially IF I can get one cut for me, without any Control Surfaces cut...

I'm planning a "less than 3D performance" Edge 540!!
I just love the way she looks, but have no interest in 3D Flight.

Definitely looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
If I CAN get mine cut...
Maybe I can contribute some Mods....

Oh yeah - definitely following this! I can’t wait to see what you do with it. Once I get my 4s power system, I’ll put it in my edge and fly it!

Be sure to beef up the nose area where the motor mount is that whole section from the battery wall forward is a very weak spot if you hit the prop on anything. It gets mooshy and the thrust angle changes easily.

You could just tone down the rates a whole lot. You would be able to do the speed build kit that way.

I was thinking skis, because we have a lot of wet snow in the northwest. Just imagine a beautifully painted stunt plane coming in for a landing with skis on! You could even do a high alpha landing.

You had a similar idea to my ski plan. Just make sure you keep the weight down! : )

Which in the long run I might prefer.
