[Silver Surfer FPV]

Loved the Hasegawa Egg Plane models, built a few sometime ago and placed them on the shelf for eye candy and to collect dust...wondered what would it take to make them fly.....then found a box of foam 6" Easter Egg decorations and started the first egg plane build.

Egg No. 002 F-86 Sabre Jet

Second egg plane but this one went thru a few upgrades while No. 003 was being built. Had a bad turn stall issue and kept crashing, had to make the wings slightly wider, made the bottom flat and moved the servos on top of the wings. Flies and lands much better now and new upgrades become stock for No. 004 build.

Egg No. 003 Horten X

Planned but never built single jet version of the Horten, built this soon after the Sabre jet. Stock flight went ok but back on the workbench for some changes to the design. Needs a flatter bottom and servos will need better protection from the belly landings.

Egg No. 004 MiG-15

All the upgrades from the Sabre are stock on this one. Flew with minimal issues, very stable and rolls nice. Modeled after one of my favorite Hasegawa egg models.

These are cool! You should consider making an FT Eggsplorer too!
It might not have great eggcelleration, but it would be hard to eggnore while flying!

Egg Plane No. 005 MK I Colonial "Pit" Viper (Atmospheric Variant)

In the Battlestar Galactica lore there was a Scorpion Mk I fighter that had level wings and two engines that was replaced by the familiar three engine anhedral Mk I Viper....so the Mk I "Pit" Viper could have been a transitional fighter developed by Scorpion Fleet Shipyards, keeping the level wings and adding the third engine....
