End of the hobby in the USA?

Let's not stop there. Automobiles are killers and *gasp* driverless cars oh my!

Let's all go back to horses...
But the government will say we are being cruel to animals. Not to mention
the pollution left behind.

Oh well back into our caves as we forage for nuts and berries.

Oh we can't disturb the flora fauna and fungi.

Thank God (guess you can't say that) we have the government.

We are doomed.🤣

I don't think they're actually outlawing all that stuff, but also I'm glad I've got enough land to fly on. I don't think there's any law enforcement agency going to go through the trouble to get a warrant to come search my property for a 'toy' airplane.

You might be. Us old folks been there, did that, moved on, with no visible traces of damage after some of the most horrendous stuff you could ever imagine. Kinda a job requirement. Nahm Era was my personal favorite and there are others for different age groups.
Same demographic as you. Got the same scars but adapted. Government gets crazier every day. Feel sorry for my kids & grandkids. What's it gonna be like as they grow up.😳

I think it will be way better than we geezers could ever imagine, but way more involved rules wise. Sure there will be rule shortcuts, and ones that are ignored all in the name of safety. Won't stop stupid.

It looks to be an import ban.
Customs agents do this. They send things back, before they move inside the US.

Lets also consider that more people have died of golf related deaths last month than all the RC plane related deaths since the beginning of the century. Maybe golf should be banned.

This might be a perfect time for FT to bring back the versacopter? A kit built drone isn't going to have nearly all the bells and whistles as a fancy new dji, (and you still need a camera and video transmission and other things) but I'd love to see how far we could get if we fired up the DIY community again and made the basic building blocks easy to obtain and put together. (Or I don't know, maybe that era of building your own drones has come and gone ... and the trends have moved on to chase other things.)

Actual cause is lack of vehicle control induced by various factors, or so the reports say. Buried in the report is a general lack of attention compounded by lack of skill in adverse situations. Lack of attention caused by just about everything, but biggies recently is futzing with phone.
Daughter was annoyed by the skid class I made her take, but none of her cars has ever had a rash or dent. Son learned in a oily, slick, wet parking lot driving a manual trans stretch diesel F250. Both say I am mean.

I don't like cooked carrots. Don't eat them. So I get to live a really long time? Hmmm. Time to start eating them.
