EPP trainer?

So, I'm not new, but my son is. He's 6 and SUPER interested in learning to fly. I have him on the simulator ATM and he's doing good so far. But I'd really like to get him something real to learn on.
I've been watching the older FT videos (again) and came across this video.
In this video the younger kids is flying a plane he got from West Michigan Park Flyers or http://www.wmparkflyers.com/
Looking on the website it looks to be what's called a Magnum Reloaded or a Mini Magnum Reloaded. It's a simple 3 channel EPP trainer. You can buy the upgraded wing and turn it into what's called Acro Magnum Reloaded.
Well, looking on the site, they seem to be all out of stock. I emailed them about it with no response. A quick Google search shows no one else in the states that carries it. I did find a company in Europe that does but it'll be well North of $100 shipping one here to KY (shipping+plane).

This type of plane is EXACTLY what I was looking for to get my son in the air. Small so it won't hurt if he hits me/him, slow, easy to fly and easy to repair if it'll ever even need it. I know he's young so I'm expecting LOTS of crashing.

Does anyone know of a place I can pick one of these up? OR, do you guys know of a EPP plane similar to it? I'd really like to stay away from banggood as most of their stuff is junk. I need a small, slow, 3 channel preferably EPP trainer.

I just don't have the time to spend hours of searching and researching. Any help would be appreciated!!

I had great luck with this one if an RTF w/transmitter is what you're looking for.

I flew it for a while then added ailerons to make it 4 channel (they make a kit but it was a simple to do even without it)

It's actually still in my fleet. it's taken quite a beating over the years and keeps on flying! I've long since given it a dsmx receiver and brushless motor however... !

Yeah, that's not a bad option. I was looking at some other pusher trainers like that. It doesn't need to be RTF as I've got both Spektrum and Flysky transmitters. His little hands fit the Flysky transmitter pretty good.
Still looking, seems there aren't many EPP foam trainers out there. Most EPP planes out there are 3D. I've seen that Magnum Reloaded in a few different online shops in Europe but none here in the states.

If you can only find it in Europe I might be able to forward it for you, if you get dimensions and don’t include Lipo the UK Royal Mail can be surprisingly cheap for air mail.
Robotbirds have the whole range and I can easily get stuff from there. UK internal post is under $15 for most planes.

Yeah, I've found it at a side called Conrad Electronics but everything is in euros and when I try to make an account under shipping address country, the United States isn't listed. Lol I selected "other" but I don't feel confident it'll be shipped. Lol Here's the link to the page if you wanna look into it.

I'd PayPal you the money depending on the total cost. And it's just the kit. Just foam. No electronics. I can get the electronics separate from Hobbyking and what not. I'll keep looking in the meantime.
Thanks for your time btw.

Never mind. I found it at a German company called https://www.hoelleinshop.com/e-vendo.php?shop=hoellein_e&SessionId=
Ended up paying $70,34 euros or $82 US dollars shipped. So not bad. I'll post a build/maiden post about it.

That’s pretty good. Thank goodness for German efficiency and international postage.

What about the CTH Albatross? You can even get the 4 channel wing for a future upgrade. I have their assassin and it's super durable, used it to win one of the combats at Flitefest this year.

Hmm, interesting. Looks like a pretty durable setup. I'll have to keep that in mind. Maybe a 2nd plane for him once he gets used to this Magnum Reloaded. I like Crashtesthobbies too. I'm looking to get their Assassin one day for myself. Thanks for the link. Don't remember seeing they made trainers.
And that's cool you won combat with it. I thought using the assassin in combat would be cool. If it can full throttle into a brick wall with no damage it should survive combat. Lol I couldn't get more than 2 minutes into combat Saturday this year. I use a Spektrum DX8e and kept getting brown outs 2 minutes in. Happened 3 times in a row to me. Too much Spektrum in the air I guess. I'll have to either use my Flysky or find another way with my dx8e next year.

I started the first couple combats with my dx2g2, but because they were combat planes, I put a cheap orangerx receiver in it, and it was even DSM2. Got brownouts both times. For my third flight I put in a dsmx diversity orx receiver and had no problems the rest of the time. And the assassin has a diversity lemonrx dsmx in it with no problem.

Ill probably pick up a grim reaper or reaper XL for next year in addition to the assassin. They are near indestructible.

West Michigan Park Flyers finally got back to me and said they just got their order of Magnum Reloaded's in, that they just hadn't put them on the site yet. But they were one day late.... I had found a distributor in Germany and my sons Magnum is on its way. Also have electrics from Hobbyking on the way. I'll post a few pics and maybe a flight video if I can get my wife to film for me. Lol
