I was wondering if you guys could help me with something. I want to get a price on this plane and its electronics but want to get the electronics cheaper at a different supplier. Can I get some help? How can I tell that the electronics will work?

Motor: NTM Prop Drive Series 35-48A 1100kv / 640w

It spins a little faster (1100kv instead of 870kv) but it outputs about the same power at around 500 watts on a 3S and 640 watts on a 4 cell.

Not a brand name ESC, but the reviews say it's good.

Note that I'm suggesting this based on information provided by HK - not from personal experience. If anyone else has anything to say about these, feel free to say I'm wrong.

thank you Colorex, but I am thinking that I would stay away from HK. I have bought tons of stuff from them, but if I am going to buy an expensive plane like that I want to really KNOW that they will work. From experience. I would trust that motor(I bought the same type for my cub), but the HK esc and servos I am a little worried about.

Here's the servos I would buy. They are metal gear, fast, same torque as the recommended Hitec HS-55mg's but way cheaper. I trust them on my helicopter and so far they have survived several crashes that destroyed my plastic gear servos.

Let me just jump in here and say how GREAT these servo's are . I keep a stash of these on hand at all times for ALL my craft. Have never had one go bad yet. I have never used but one other (higher priced digital recommended for rcexplorer tri copter).

ok, thanks a ton! that is a huge difference in price and if you two say they rock, I'll buy it.

now, for the motor and esc....
