ER6 Won't Let Me Use Channels 2 or 4.

I programmed my Radiomaster ER6 rx for the Aura 5. I changed channels 2 and 3 to "serial" and then then turned on SBUS. It worked great. Now, I want to use the ER6 without the Aura 5. I've gone back in and turned channels 2 and 3 back to 50 pwm, but the rx still won't let me use channels 2 and 4 (elevator and rudder) I get no response to stick input. I was able to use my ER4 and ER5 with the Aura 5 and then go back to no Aura just fine. What's going on with my ER6?

Can you take a screenshot of the Wi-Fi config page for the ports of the ER6?

Here are pictures of the current settings in my ER6: WiFi, Config, and Serial. The settings are the same in my ER4 and ER5 and they are working just fine without aura (all channels responding on aircraft). The ER6 is still acting like I have pins 2 and 3 set for serial rx and tx like when I set it up for use with SBus and the Aura boad.

Did you try doing a reset to defaults on the pwm page and then saving? You could also try re flashing the firmware.

I have reset the defaults with no change. I will try reflashing the firmware.

I re-flashed the ER6 to firmware 4.0. Still no go. It won't go back to pre-serial pin 2 and 3 behavior. On the other hand, I'm now using have the ER6 in my Flerken with my Aura board and it's communicating great. I guess it will be my go-to Aura board rx.

I double checked the target when I made the firmware (don't want to brick it again).

Was this with 3.x firmware? Maybe this is a 4.0 bug?
You might trying it with 3.x, making sure it works as a PWM Rx. Then try updating to 4.0.

Let's see. I would need to flash rx and tx back to 3.0 to do this. I will give it a try. Good idea.

I would go to 3.6.4, which is the latest 3.x release. Going too far back can cause issues of it's own. I had moved EVERYTHING to 4.x. or so I thought... . I ended up flashing my Ranger Micro (2.4ghz) back to 3.x because I soon found more stuff that hadn't been updated when I got to the field. Also helps for debugging other people's gear if they haven't updated. I have one of the RM Nomad dual band Gemini modules which really needs 4.x to use all the features which I want to learn, test, and play with. For me, 2.4 is all I need and performs best, but need to know the rest for other scenarios where 900mhz or simultaneous dual band may be better.

I flashed my rx and tx back to 3.6.4. No difference. Only channel 1 responds. I went back to 4.0. Same behavior. Where my er4 and er5 have been sbus and then successfully back to pwm I would think it is the fact that the er6 was bricked (so to speak) and then brought back from neverland that is making the difference. PTSD or something . I will keep it as my aura (sbus) rx.
