Earlier, he said that if he plugs a servo into port 3, that the throttle moves the servo back and forth as expected.
My suspicion is that something is preventing the stick from hitting +100, so the ESC isn’t going into calibration mode.
Right, but the input screen usually defines the association of the stick to the channel. So unless there is an odd mix, the Throttle should be on channel 1 based on the screen he last provided. Really need to see the Input AND mix screen to determine that. For simplicity, it is best if the Input and Mix have the channel order the same. If you create a new model, it will be done that way based on the
Def Channel Order defined in Sys config page 3
It is possible for all three screens to be different, But that is not really ideal. Once I get one model created, I usually copy that when creating a new model in the radio so I don't have to redo all the config, and have all my mappings the same on all models except for some of the auxiliary mappings like lighting control.
What is "actually" going to the RX "should" be shown on the channel monitor screen. If the sticks are calibrated right, the outputs will go from -100 to 100 in opposite corners. Again, it is possible to modify those ranges on the outputs tab for greater/lesser throws.
The real channel order is defined by the mix order. It can be confusing when the input and channel order screens are not ordered the same, especially when providing support.
