Explorer boom servo mod?

Hello, I am thinking about modifying the servos in the boom. The routing of the pushrods around the servos seems a bit clumsy to me. I want to keep the pushrods in a straight line.

My idea; Mount the servos on doubler plates for clearance with the top of the boom. Trim the servo arms and reverse them so they point toward the top of the boom. This will keep the pushrods in a straight line. the retainer plates will need to be changed slightly too. I think the servo channels will need reversed.

What do you think of this idea?

I say, make it happen. Sounds like you're scratch building so just time and foam board. The Explorer is modular so you could just swap in the old boom if it does not work out as expected.

I would like to see a picture of the mod when you're finished if possible.
