I like it!I will take a stab and make an EZ Plank with a Domino's box. The airframe is about 30g before glue and electronics, so it could be a possible solution on the v2 power pack. Will keep you updated...

It'll be fine, everything is fine.Crinklies all over the fuselage, imho very bad double unplus juju because they crinkles are in the doublers same spot also. Can you ask the Domino s people for a couple un assembled flat boxes? Wing looks excellent.
In my opinion, the idea of a pizza box plane is to use an old pizza box (reduce/re-use-recycle). Crincklies and grease-stains add to the flavour...Crinklies all over the fuselage, imho very bad double unplus juju because they crinkles are in the doublers same spot also. And maybe the smell too.Crincklies and grease-stains add to the flavour...![]()
You guys are making me hungry! lolAnd maybe the smell too.
Mine flew. I put the corrugation side to side. I do the same thing with the “grain” of Adam’s readiboard. With the lightness of the EZ plane though, I don’t think it matters. The cardboard is plenty stiff in either orientation. All of mine are made of Adam's board. Those who say they could be made from cardboard, could you explain which direction(cardboard has a weak and strong axis) so it doesn't become un flyable. Especially the maiden flight. Talking about the nose, sides, and tail in crashes
For instance, my delta, do you put the cardboard ribs front-back or wing to wing? or do you use Adam's board like me?
I completely understand what you you're saying. I absolutely agree that results would be better with foam board. I understand. In my quest...
Oh, it's going to be great fun and learning will be had. I'm going to try and get them the best results I can, but the vast majority will be thrilled if their creation flys across the gym.If you rotate the grain on the doublers, all the crinklies are moot because they cancel out. I totally fail to understand why this won't be a stunning success even if some stuff fails. Parts involved: school children. Recycled or otherwise materials, Odd ball non standard learning experience including massive energy releasing outside. Possible flying things. Actual flying things. And all still staying "within respectable rules" ( was a science sub once for what seemed like a couple of lifetimes and that was their restriction [ which kept on getting more and more restrictive])
Did approximately the same with a wallyworld foot powered tire pump and valve stem, made 1liter water bottle rockets. In 2 hours the kids totally wore out the tire pump, made maybe a thousand flights, was a super success. Management was very unhappy at my lack of professionalism. Sound familiar?
The "adults" in charge want to be featured on the news and take credit. Some people are still mad that, the last time we did something similar and they invited the media, it was my picture in the paper.Unfortunately the adults in charge expect repeatable, quantified and testable results, sometimes you cant get there.
Ah, people. The "adults" in charge want to be featured on the news and take credit. Some people are still mad that, the last time we did something similar and they invited the media, it was my picture in the paper.
That's awesome!I finally got out during the daylight to fly my cardboard ez flier. It flies!
