F405 wing no power from batt, works fine on USB

Hi all,

my F405 wing has a fault now.
it powers fine via USB and works but as soon as i unplug USB and power using my battery nothing.
If i run a power line from the servo "bank" power supply to the SBUS port the board comes alive. Also one of the square thingys gets hot. (i think it's a cap)
is this related to a power regulator? Which one??

Any magic smoke? Maybe a bad voltage regulator? Looks like there’s charrinf around the solder pads, is that just from soldering or was there some arcing?

Or maybe you just got a dud and should contact matek, maybe they’ll send you another.

What voltage battery are you plugging into it?
