Help! F7 Flight Controllers for UAVs

I’ve been testing an F7 board recently ( Botwing F722 ) and really like the extra UARTs and smoother performance compared to older F4s. Paired with the right drone parts and drone accessories, it feels more reliable for both freestyle and long-range builds.


What’s everyone here using — still on F4s or moved to F7?

The F722 only has 512k of flash memory and is already obsolete. If you go with a F7, you want a 74x or 76x. Same thing with the F411. only 512K of flash memory. Stick with the F405 for F4 FCs.

General rule of thumb is to make sure the FC has at least 1MB of Flash memory to ensure continued support.

The H7 is the "new" better way to go.

They are all actually from the 2013-2016 timeframe. It has just taken time for them to be adapted to the hobby.

I use the Speedybee F405 v4 and it works great!
