Help! Fastest Airframe for 6 inch prop?!

I’m considering modifying the ft goblin.

I just like how much room there is for a battery in that plane.

If you want the "need to speed", you have to use a "V tail and a swept wing design" to get the fastest speed. Why don't you design something?

I’m just trying to find the most aerodynamic airframe for my needs.

look up pylon racers.

basically your looking to minimize drag, which means narrow fuselage, smooth surfaces, thin airfoils for the easy to control stuff. After that you get into some of the more complicated stuff to do and would likely need to get into simulation/wind tunnel testings to optimize them.

"slippery" and "foamboard" aren't really the same thing, given foamboard has a rather rough surface.

If your setup gets noisy at full throttle, the prop tip has gone sonic and you're losing thrust. Otherwise do the math and see how fast your set up will get you.

Have you watched the 100mph for under $100 video?

They tried a pylon-racer type plane, but ended up having better luck with a thin-airfoil flying wing. Hard to get much lower drag than that.
