Help! Fastest Airframe for 6 inch prop?!

In terms of getting the fastest plane for the power, you want to wrap everything as tightly as possible in the fuselage (while keeping it streamlined of course) and build a plane with a thin symmetrical or almost symmetrical airfoil (as others have mentioned). A V-tail will reduce drag at the top end of the speed range, but to be honest, a conventional tail is almost as good. As others have mentioned, pylon racer like designs are probably the best. Something like the FT mini mustang would also be a good candidate to modify for very high speeds. A goblin could be fast, but it will be limited by its somewhat chunky fuselage with hard angles and the flying plank design where a more conventional plan form can be more efficient. Something I haven't really seen mentioned is the importance of streamlining the back of the plane. If you can bevel the trailing edges and make sure you don't have any flat surfaces on the back of the plane, you will cut a bunch of drag.

If you're trying to cram as much power as you can into as small an airframe as possible, delta wings are also actually pretty good. It's easier to build a fast delta since the wings are stronger for their area and they have a very wide range of possible lift coefficients with a very low lift coefficient at low angles of attack. A delta will never be as fast as a well designed plane with a more conventional layout (at least at subsonic speeds) but it can be a simpler thing to build.

Flew a bloody baron once with a GoPro and a 2200mah 4s and I had to fly pretty fast and landing was kinda tricky. Also don’t forget at high speeds your control rods can start to flex.

Yup, a friend has a ft22 and they flex at 20mph (roughly)
