Help! FC not connecting to computer

Recently I got some parts to build my first racing/freestyle drone. I got a MAMBA F405MK2 FC for the brains plus esc of the quad but am having some trouble getting my computer to recognize it. I am using a windows laptop and have only been plugging the Mamba stack into beta flight without additional components soldered to it. Am I doing something wrong or do I just not know all the necessary steps to connect the FC?

Have you installed the drivers listed on the Betaflight welcome tab?

I've tried that on past control boards and haven't had success with them. I haven't tried that on this one yet, I'll give that a shot.
