Wake up! Time to fly!
Finally got the Gremlin doing what I wanted.
After all the gear issues with them crappy AIO cameras to failed VTX's to my own design and build failures I think I am now happy how this is now flying. I still have to do some minor PID tweaks since I changed the weight and weight distribution this last rebuild But for now I am not gonna be making any major changes and just enjoy flying it for a while.
I hit several milestones yesterday with this during the 9 packs I got to fly over the course of the day. I got to fly around some trees and even managed to pull off a back flip between branches as well as a punch out with a quick yaw spin. Not too shabby for a Gremlin hehe. Then to cap off the day I actually managed to rip the playset out back with out damaging the quad at all.
Took some time and edited two videos from the flights to show the progress since the last flights on this lil beastie. The final set up is:
Frame: Josh Bixler carbon fiber frame with longer stand offs so I could invert the rear motors and get them more in line.
Power Pack: Stock Emax Gremlin power pack with Emax T2305 props (in purple of course) using Xt30 not stock JST.
Camera: Runcan Swift 2 micro with my own settings
VTX: Eachi9ne VTX03 set to 50 mw
Batteries: Main batteries ..Pulse 3s 450 mah 45c, Gens Ace 3s 450 mah 25c, for testing new settings and gear setups.. Gens Ace 2s 450 mah 25c
Pics to follow in later post for the reconstruction. Will wait til I can get batteries for my good camera as the ones I got during the build were with a 20 dollar action cam with really sad indoor capabilities.
