Hi all. Anyone familiar with the F2C will know that the elevon hinge is comprised of the wing paper alone. As a recent returnee to the sport I grabbed a cheap doer upper and got to work. New wing built without issue BUT i need to repair the hinges on the elevon. The paper is dried out, old and brittle. I have tried 3 types of tape and both the single strip on top of the control surface and the tab method but no matter what I do i cant get the control surface to sit flush with the tailplane at neutral.
Could anyone point me in the direction of a fool or in mycase cackhanded idiot proof method of esuring the control sits flush with the tal wing at neutral please
