Hi all, we have built some of our power pod for the mighty mini arrow, we've mounted the new firewall (not wooden) and are struggling with how to mount the motor now. we have used power pack F motor and all that comes with it.
-do the wires go over the firewall? or are they supposed to go through one of the holes? I can't see how I can screw the screws in if wires go through a hole
-if the wires go over the firewall, do they go over directly central? the holes dont seem to match perfectly anyway I orientate the motor. I have attached photos to show. The most lined up option seems to be wires over firewall central and screws through the top two and bottom two larger holes. if I orientate the motor so the wires go right of central over the firewall then the smaller holes on the firewall don't seem to line up with the screw holes on the motor
-do I screw 4 screws in or is it only two?

sorry for all the questions we have searched and searched for videos and forum help. Our how to video doesn't cover building the pod, and the pod build we've found is using the old firewall

pic one and two is how is seems most sensible to mount
pic three and 4 is trying to mount with screws going through smaller firewall holes but they dont match up (purple)

Hi, just replace the iron plate with 3mm plywood. Just two bolts are enough.

The wires totally go over the top of the firewall on the minis. On the official firewalls, you can see a notch in the top for the wires to go over.

I don’t think the notch is necessary though. The motors are usually mounted with the widely spaced holes horizontal and the narrow ones vertical. So your first picture looks correct.

Which firewall is that? I haven’t seen a mini firewall with vent holes like that. You didn’t scale a larger firewall down to fit, did you?

2 holes, how you’ve got it orientated in the first photo, normally wires go through top holes, but can easily just pass over the firewall completely, I think that’s what I did with mine.

Thank you for your reply. We bought the kit entirely so everything to go with the mini arrow so didn’t deviate from it or scale anything-that would bring heaps more questions lol

Good to know re the wires going over the top is fine!
