I agree with the others, stick with the TT.

The key to landing, allow the plane to glide in, power off, just like you are doing from the bleachers. The glide slope should be 3-6 degrees, this keeps the airspeed high enough to prevent a stall. Then 3-4 feet off the ground, flair the plane for landing. If you flair too soon, 10 feet from the ground, the wings will stall & the plane will drop from the sky. The timing of the flair is critical, making all the difference between a nice landing and nose in & broken prop.
