I second the advice to take your time with the booms. Leaving them tightly rolled overnight will help cut down on creasing.

Once you have taken your time with the "perfect build", make sure to take your time with the "perfect maiden". Don't forget to recheck throws and servo directions, even have someone recheck with you. Seems like every time I take the time for a great build, I make a small error like having the ailerons reversed and it knda has not ended well. 🥴

So what do you guys recommend doing for the part of the build when you put Gorilla tape on the boom to reinforce it while you cut it and then take it off later...... that's not going to work with DTFB.

That's a good idea! Will the better brands of masking tape tear the dtfb paper less than the dollar store masking tape? Try to not leave it on longer then needed.

The cheaper masking tape has a tendency to come off in pieces versus all together, at least in my experience.
