I like Foam Putty for filling in gaps and repairs. It's easy to apply, extremely lite weight, sands easily, and can be painted.

If you dig through the P-38 forums, I recall there's some posts about the correct placement on the wing. I usually just kind of eyeball it, but I know I've seen the exact measurement somewhere. I've made several P-38s over the years, and on only one did I have the booms built without any wrinkles. The rest have had a wrinkle or two in them. Just remember, it will still fly fine even with wrinkles in it.
Yeah I know, But this is a very involved build and I really want it to turn out right! Mine is covered in wrinkles so I am going to redo that one being that that one broke too, my brothers only has a couple so I think we will leave that one. I think I did to much forming on mine. Thank you!

Thanks! I don't want tear apart my plane to put retracts in, not to mention the cost. But the FT overview video Josh mentioned putting on landing gear that you can buy as a kit from them and I was wondering if the was a video on how to do that.

I am gaining a lot of respect for John Overstreet! He is quite a skilled designer and builder! My P - 38 is NOT going as smoothly as his! lol
