..... I thought we could post Videos from YouTube? I too, avoid FAKEBOOK like the Plague!!
Neither has exactly been a friend to me. I'll still be posting Videos, to give you Guys a laugh, and to help my budding new Hobby!!

You are already way past this point. I, certainly among others, appreciate the help and support you give.

Besides I got used to reading encyclopedic volumes when working on systems within the military. Videos miss a lot and are not always genuine! When and IF I ever become video capable it will be short videos posted direct in the appropriate threads as an attached file, (very short).

I can agree.... YOU POSER is not much better than FAKEBOOK! However, if you're patient enough to sift through the shite (or have a LOT of time on your hands, like I do!), there are some genuine people making Videos, that even abbreviated, are quite informative.

For your first launch I advise that you hand launch at around 50% throttle! I had to ease the throttle gently forward whilst using full, (more than the throw advised) to keep it straight enough to gain speed and lift off! As for video, just something I do not supply as I would rather fly my money than make proof for those who just like to watch but never try and fly themselves!

Besides to post video I believe you have to first post it on FAKEBOOK which I avoid as rigorously as possible. I rarely even watch the videos posted herein unless much attempts have been undertaken to get it to fly and nothing seems to work! In the past I have even built FT designs I that did not appeal to me just so I could determine if there was something inherent in a design that could cause a scratch builder issues rather than watch endless FAKEBOOK videos. After testing and modification, if required, I just strip them out and give the airframe away. Depending upon the recipient the stripping out maybe ignored.

Sorry it is just me I suppose!

Love you, mate. You are your own man, all the way. Never change. We post video on youtube. People get stupid on youtube as well, but people are people and we are mostly stupid. We also like video. It's amazing how much one can teach, and be taught on that idiotic platform called youtube. The FT builds don't even have instructions. It's a build video on youtube.

I also don't use social media. Not my thing. You should seriously think about posting video, though. We've had several new members who wrote that they were lurking and watching for a long time and then decided to take the plunge and do it for real. It's the video that inspired them to do it. Besides which, you're too smart not to realize that if you are experimenting, this is an awesome think-tank of a forum. They need video, though. Just food for thought.

Darn. Wrote the previous post before I saw this. I'm going to say "Oh well." Time to swap pages back to the youtube build video of the Mini Scout I'm working on. Missed a few things, and maybe everything wasn't completely clear, but on to the next step. The Journey Continues.

As previously stated, I screwed up a control horn. I actually screwed it up more than I thought. It's on the wrong side! How did nobody catch that? Looking at the plane from the back, it's supposed to be on the bottom, on the left airelon, but I've got it on the top on the right airelon.

Anyway, using some advice I'd previously read, I used a heat gun to remove the control horn.

Then I've got the problem where I glued the other control horn in before I inserted the control rod. No prob. The control rod is long enough, I'll put in backwards and then bend a 90 degree, insert, and bend another 90 degree. Easy.

Oh..... Friendly FYI - it's Elevator. Ailerons are on the Trailing Edges of the Main Wing.

The next 90 degree bend, not so easy. I tried four different pliers, and ended up breaking the control horn. That's OK, though. This is the second plane. When my TT can no longer fly, I'll use that heat gun and use one of those control horns on this plane.

Next is the servos. Don't have those yet. I SO want to see this plane complete, with the beautiful scalloped wings. So I did it.

GLAD you got the control rod issue sorted!! One BIG point of concern.... that frayed, center portion of the Elevator! Left and right are going in two different directions.....

Maybe glue a Popsicle Stick between the two halves, making a small notch in the middle, to be sure that you clear the Rudder.

I'm learning QUICK that there's still a lot I need to learn!!

Next step is those crazy little cut outs at the wing center, if I recall correctly. Regardless. She is B. A. Freakin' Utiful! Lee Goalot has named her "Fly Baby." He says if he had the skills, there'd be a baby with wings painted on the nose. I told him I don't care. The TT is my first plane, and it's written off. This one? I want it to fly, baby! Though it's written off as well. Don't tell Lee.

Next I think I'll build a correct wing for the TT. I've got foam and glue. The Journey Continues.

Yup.. I hadn't heard the cool trick about removing the control horn. I just added a 2nd one after the first one broke

Don't fret the wing cutouts. it's the easiest thing you'll do. 3 quick slices.

I love the mini scouts, we have a blast flying ours. A lot of time we will climb for 30 seconds and then cut the throttle and see who can glide the longest. These things will float like a hawk but can also be flown aggressively when the mood arrives.

I was hoping for that. Climb up and float down. Maybe get a little crazy in between. I was hoping this little plane could do all that. Thank you for letting me know it can.

We are running 1806 motors with 6x4 props and 2s 800mah batteries. Climb and Glide sessions give us lengthy battery life.

Seriously, I can about PROMISE that I'll have some colossal screw up along the way! I'm only Hoping that Decades in other genres of non flying Models MAY help....
But that doesn't guarantee anything, does it?

Now though, I'm questioning my Old Fart Eyes..... I could have sworn that the Elevator was twisted in the middle!! CRAP!! I haven't even started yet. Sight might be a little important to me getting into the Air!!
..... although my FIRST Kit will be here on Monday, and the second by Wednesday!! I'm bouncing like a Kid waiting to start this journey!

My Storch is going to be a longer Build. Full OCD, Details, several Modifications...

I'm also getting a Mini Sportster, sole purpose is to get me off the Ground - an hopefully BACK to the Ground in ONE Piece!!
So Mr. Banken Yank will be getting ready for head-to-head competition!!
