Just gt my DX8 tday :D WOOP WOOP

It's sooo sweet, glad i choose this one :) Already been through the menu twice and it's sooo easy to setup even for a complete newbi like me :) if you never tried RC and is going to buy your first Radio... buy this one!
Just want to say that HK should speed up their delivery time and I would be a happy man :)

Glad you like the DX8. One unlikely caveat that's VERY important. . .and almost cost me damaging mine. The DX8 comes with the timeout (too long not being used, but on) set to vibrate and buzz. If on an inclined table, it could possibly vibrate off and fall. I had my drafting board inclined several weeks ago and it started buzzing and vibrating and it was on the edge when I came in from another room. I learned my lesson without doing damage, thank goodness.

Yes, HK is sloooow. And of course if you have any out of stock items on your order, or "jit" items such as the fiberglass quad frame. . .forget it. The fastest I ever get stuff from them is three weeks.

Thanks very much xibit.

Oh how I wish I had known of a buddy code list like this four or five months ago, I would have saved myself around $80, because I have purchased most of the above list.

I worked up last week up how much I've spent "ramping up" for quad and tricopter parts and the associated support paraphernalia material and the transmitter and it makes me cringe.

no matter what. buy the 9 in 1 wireless. seen alot of videoes, and it's freaking awesome! then buy a cheap orange Rx and your golden :)

Yes.. I bought THIS from DX Extreme for $20. In addition to the dongle and cable you ALSO get ALL the simulators.

I'm sure this is another example of the Chinese blatantly pirating software, but if you've gone as far as buying the 9-in-1 to bypass the USB keys (dongle), you might as well go the next step and get the whole package.

It's several hundred in software.

Bought it in early October. Just as advertised. However, the only sim that you can update is Phoenix 4. That's ok, because Phoenix 4 is my favorite anyway.

i did look at the dongle you link to, but i chose the wireless due to space limit in my apartment, and i already got enough cables as it is. Also i bought the Pheonix RC used from a local RC club, and the dongle doesn't work (cable broken i think) so i got it for a sweet price.
Now i'm just waiting (yes still waiting) for HK to send my parts... suddenly there was a JIT item in my order... (they didn't check that when they got my money 20/02-2013), first when they actually went to pack my order like 2 weeks ago, THEN they found out that the frame wasn't in stock at that warehouse. Now they say it will be shipped Monday (2 weeks after they ordered the JIT from another warehouse), so lets hope they actually sends it, and next time i need something, i will gladly pay more so i don't have to wait a freaking month just for them to send my order...

HOBBYKING IS A JOKE - STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU CAN

Sry for all caps but i think it's important that people know what a joke that company is. they don't give a flying f*** about their customers. They take your money, and then they think they got all the time in the world to handle your order. if some one did try to compete with them, all they had to do is keep stock on their items and send your order within 1-2 weeks and HK would slowly die (my dream world)

And if it's not clear... yes i'm really pissed at HK

Misfit Multirotor Monkey
Oh yea, HK runs hot and cold. I've done about ten orders with them. and the fastest I receive an order is three weeks. My longest order, with no backorder or JIT has been around 5 weeks.

I have over 20 orders with HK, only had 1 bad 30A red brick and have had acceptable order wait times. Overall i think they are fine considering a 30A ESC at my LHS is about 50-65 bucks, I can buy 5 including shipping from HK. the prices far out weigh the time and the CS aspect.

Well i just got a mail from them that i think you should read, that might explain why every one have been waiting on their orders to be sent. and my order history tells me that this issue they have started around 20/02-2013:

Customer Service Chat
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uploads/174451477X974582X1.png

I know that i'm not that kind in my way to respond to some of the things he say but i was really pissed off, and with very good reason when you read the response

Response the day after
http://upl.io/i/z762g0.PNG
(uploaded to my friends upload site)

This issue would have been fixed 3 weeks ago if any one other than Ricky/Thomas have listened to me and called that warehouse instead of just requesting an update via their system. I told them to call and they said they would but NONE other than this guy actually did. So 3 weeks with incompetence from HobbyKings side could be avoided if they just had called their warehouse.

Good to hear you got a response!

However, don't be too excited about that free gift. It might be something nice and useful, as it might be nice and not useful to you. And in the worst case what you'll get is a sheet of stickers.

Anyway, Happy they got it fixed FINALLY!
