Just moved to SW Florida!
My first flight didn't end too well. Not used to the wetness compared to Texas

Kinda a wet welcome to Florida for sure. Probably just trying to get you used to the Summer rains that we have. I offer a dry handshake and Welcome you to S.Florida. The only thing we have here bigger then in Texas is probably the mosquito count. lol What area did you move too? Im on the Dade/Broward line and I-95 pretty much.

#29 is actually in Alabama in a town called Florala.

I've been there...

#32 is Bay County, aka Panama City Beach. Nothing is strange there.

Hey G, hope you enjoy the hot-sunny-soggy-sandy-lovebugged-thunderstormed littl' piece o' heaven that just can't stop dragging people in. You might not think so now, but you'll love it by February.

And if it's a pool of fresh water and you can't see the bottom, there's a gator in it.

Yeah, a gator lives in my neighborhood pond. My dad has seen it once laying near the edge

Keep flying w/o fear, but watch out for those storms -- people have been struck by lightning with blue sky overhead.

They also have a WICKED wind front. Was in a shorter-than-planned landing in a full-scale Cessna 172 from one of these thundercells. On the ground prior the sky looked grey, but not bad, and once we got above the treeline we couldn't get back down fast enough -- until we got down too fast. These winds will think nothing of A/C of *ANY* size.
