Help! Flerken Plans: Trying to laser cut

Hello!

I am trying to laser cut the FT Nano Flerken out of foam. In order to do that, I need to get the outlines out of the plans so that I can import them via PDF into a software called LightBurn.

To my dismay, the plans are watermarked and when I import them into Inkscape, they work nothing like the tutorial videos shown on the FliteTest website. Does anyone have any experience with laser cutting FliteTest plans? Do you know how to extract the outlines? How to get rid of the watermark?

The plans are raster images, intended for printing. There were copyright and bootleg issues which created the file type change.
If you want an accurate cnc cut file, you'll need to trace each line in Inkscape.

That makes sense. Its a shame though! I guess nothing cool and aerodynamic comes easy.

Keep in mind that all the older designs, and there are a lot, are not watermarked like that. Maybe there is another plane that you like.

Check out the Sponz Index for the entire list. Everything below the “FTCA Plans” section can be laser cut easily.

Out of curiosity what are you using to laser cut them with?
