Lesson 11: RUDDER For Taxiing, Takeoff and Landing

Great tutorial for landing here. It was an eye opener for me. Although I haven't practiced a whole lot with a rudder ship lately, I was able to immediately incorporate these principles in my flying. Pay close attention to how the aircraft is steered with the rudder on final. Along with judicious use of the throttle, you'll be able to be much more accurate with your approaches and touchdowns.

Where is the rudder usage to augment turns in those planes capable of such slow flight that the ailerons lose their effectiveness.

The rudder has many uses whilst in the air and well away from the ground.
