flip 1.5 problems

The Betaflight gui will only connect to betaflight. The Flip 1.5 runs multiwii which requires a multiwii gui corresponding to the firmware version you have (probably indicated on the packaging when you received it).If you want to see whats going on from a gui, here is the list of multiwii firmwares wth GUI included.

So what exactly happens when you arm the board. Are the motors out of control or do they seem to spin approximately proportional to your throttle (they will begin to spin at different speeds and faster over time if left on a table).

It will not arm (the motors don't move at all) . How do you hook up the computer to the quad fc. I know how to use beta flight, but how do I use the other firmwares?

Did you set the throttle trim to -50%. To connect the FC to the computer first download the files from the link I have in my previous post. You probably want the downloads for Multiwii 2.4 as that is the latest and last version. In the zip file you download you will find a GUI. Connect the flip1.5 to the computer with a micro usb cable and let the drivers automatically download if needed. Then open the GUI, in the upper left find the com port the flip is connected to, and press connect.

Can we see a picture of the setup? Connections to the board. Stuff like that. Keep in mind the motor order numbering is different on that board than it is on the Naze32's and newer.

If you want to connect to the GUI, that is fine. That board pre-flashed from RTFQ will fly a quad fine right out of the box. I flew mine for two years before I connected it to a computer.

The majority of the issues come from TX settings. End points and stuff like that. Sorry I can't help you with the Spektrum radios.

Hard to tell without a complete picture (e.g. can't see your sticks, but it looks like your throttle is either at max throttle (stick all the way up) or it's reversed. The flight controller won't arm until it sees the equivalent of "zero throttle" which is in quotes because "zero" is probably going to need to read less than zero on your display (maybe -125?)
