early this year, huh?
yea idk why they did that though, but wouldnt be easier if they put the dates later like how they were before.18th to 22nd of july (or 15 to 18th i cant remember) of july cause it would be more streamlined for them as there setting stuff up at oshkosh this year or smth

I believe the main reason they moved it was because the rain. It’s suppose to be less rainy a bit earlier. Well see😏

Yeah, if I remember correctly the old dates were generally in the rainiest part of the year. I know someone went back and looked at historical weather and that timeframe was CONSISTENTLY the wettest. Temperatures may be a bit better overall too. Finally I know they were trying to avoid conflicts with EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh and that is later in July, so earlier made sense. At least they announced the dates WAY in advance. I think they made those dates public a few weeks after last year's FF.

I am invisible, apparently? All I do is build WW1 aircraft from scratch? I've been doing it for MONTHS now? My Pfalz E.I & Fokker D.VII actually FLEW (Although admittedly not that great...) ?? In addition, I've got several half built aircraft, the Morane H, Nieuport 11 & Halberstadt D.II??

To be clear the motivation here was what several of us saw flying last year at FF. We certainly weren't trying to ignore your thread or the models you've been working on (or anyone else on the forums). Life has kept me away from the forums (and RC) for a while so I'm definitely not caught up on who's been building what. To be fair the title of your thread isn't in English, the first post is blank, there seem to be some non-airplane related tangents, and it was 26 posts before I saw building going on :p.

That being said people should definitely check out the models you've been working on! And we'd love for you to join in whether or not you can make it to FF! Pick a model, start a build thread, and send me the details to add to the participants post!

Yes, well........Let it not be said that my existence is "uneventful" at times........And we've had a few uninvited guests as well. Not sure which of my builds to include. All of my planes are "Mighty Mini" scale, the same as FT's Dr1 & SE5.

I'd love to come to Ohio (my former home state, BTW) and meet everyone. But as I said, my RL is kinda up in the air ATM.......Pun intended.

So what happens if we want to join, but we live on the otherside of the world?

You get a really cool WWI plane to fly and we get to enjoy your build thread on here

Exactly! I mentioned elsewhere in the thread but to the extent that there is a "winner" my intent is to let the Folks at Flite Fest vote on a best in show, but FlyingTyger is on the mark. We just want folks to join in the building fun and build/share some interesting models.
