It is my entry as well. I am about 90% done with the assembly and hope to start painting once I get back from being out of state.
It is a good clean build.
Carl’s build video is really good. I put the rear servo tray in before the rear turtle deck. Then installed the elevator and rudder pushrods and servos in as well before installing the turtle deck. This made the task a breeze.
I use the yard marker flag wires for pushrods. The aileron pushrods needed to be bent with a couple 90 degree bends to keep from binding the servos. Essentially putting in about a 1/2 inch or so step in the pushrod. The control horns sit quite a bit lower than the servos. The marker flag wire is plenty rigid and handle the bends without flexing. A lot of ways to do it…this just worked out well with the FT wooden Control horns I have.
That was about it. I hope this helps you out in some way.
Enjoy the build. I look forward to some pictures of your progress.

Here is the past 5 hours of my life...
It took a long time but the foamboard is finaly cut out.
I did not do all the scores yet because I will be doing those during the build.

Sounds about right. The build seems fairly quick once everything is cut out. You should Pat yourself on the back for completing the most tedious part of the build.
Now is the enjoyable part.

Yes very much so this might go on hold for a few days as I have to help my dad with work around the farm though.

Thank you I should start building soon.
I am working on the new flite test flying arrow stick airplane right now.
But this is next on the list.

Any chance of the larger set of plans?

I took the un-tiled plans to a UPS store and printed at 200%. You can always print the untiled plans at a larger scale in a tiled format.

What size are you looking for?

Looking FANTASTIC! That 7 cylinder radial looks perfect on there. Looking forward to seeing her all painted up and in the air!

Thanks hoping to go for this paint scheme if possible it might be a bit hard with the struts though.
I will try and video the maiden if I can.
Does it look Like I hove enough down thrust?
I am hoping to use a 1800 3s or a 1400 4s will that be ok?
Thank you!

Looks to me like it should have plenty of down.

Yeah, painting the struts can be a bit tricky. I shot the yellow first, let it fully cure, and then masked off the wings and shot the blue.
