Flite Fest East 2017 Volunteers

Whoo Hoo..! You all get my first forum post. I have been lurking for the past few years and finally decided it was time to register.

Hey Andre, I signed up to help volunteer this year and commented on the form that two of my sons, age 10 and 13 also want to volunteer. Should I sign them both up separately using the google doc form, or will the comment suffice?

WhooHoo!! Can't wait! It's off to the Family Tent to volunteer for me. Had a blast there last year. Hopefully I get some time there. Really great hanging with the kids and parents taking a break and chilling out in the shade, playing games and watching the action.

Were you the one with the juggling equipment? I loved stopping by and jugglng your clubs, I'll have to remember to bring mine with me this year. It had never occurred to me to bring my juggling equipment to Flite Fest, but I guess I know it now.

2016 = a record 240 volunteers.
I'm just starting to program the FFE17 details as I have to summarize my notes from last weekend and have a good chat with FT so we are on the same page. Lots of neat ideas.

Next... TOTAL CHAOS.

Flite Fest East 2017 Volunteer Update 01



Good morning and welcome to May.

As many of you already know the FT team is back in Ohio and I myself home in Canada.
We are rested up and ready to put all our attention towards Flite Fest East 2017.

I admit I'm very excited about this one. Just have a really positive vibe about it.
Our fourth event in Ohio and coming off a very good experience out in California.

Learnt a lot of good lessons at FFW17 and I will be putting that information to good use for the July event. Stay tuned I have some rather interesting ideas.

Right now we have about 100 volunteers listed. Last summer we had 240 so I hope we can match and or surpass those numbers. The more volunteers we have the better the whole event runs.

I will start going over your notes/information and begin building the plans.

Juggling at Flite Fest

Were you the one with the juggling equipment? I loved stopping by and jugglng your clubs, I'll have to remember to bring mine with me this year. It had never occurred to me to bring my juggling equipment to Flite Fest, but I guess I know it now.

Yup! That was me. Looking forward to it again. Also working on a GIANT set of Jenga blocks to bring.
Yeah buddy. Bring your gear. Looking to make or buy a whole bunch of bean bags to teach juggling to anyone interested who stops by the Family Tent.

not registered with AMA yet so i will not be flying this year, i chose to volunteer that way i can watch and learn so that next year i can buy a pass.

Just make sure you pick up a spectator pass.
Everyone regardless of being a volunteer or not have to purchase a pass.
Take advantage of the early bird.

we have lift off for FFE 2017

Hey Andre -

this is Ko from FFW 2017 ... thanks for helping make FliteFest West a great experience ... and if I never see another RV again, I won't complain ... unless it's either one of Matt's two giant 5th wheels ...

by enlisting the assistance of my three nephews in Minnesota ... and I assume ... with alot of begging and promises to do all their chores and more ... and with the help of the kid's Mom ... "we" (by that I mean my sister-in-law) have been able to convince my brother-in-law to drive the kids out to FFE 2017 !!!!! ... YES !!!

so I will be filing out a volunteer form for FFE (and I'll be conscripting my 3 nephews too) ... never know when you'll be needing another bright orange "traffic cone" tee shirt

not sure the mini bike will be able to traverse the turf out at the Fury's ... may have to be doing a lot more walking in Ohio
