Solved Flite test guinea pig motors have different values despite being on the same channel

Hello,
Ive had my flite test guinea pig for a few years now and its mostly been great. I Converted my guinea pig to an ELRS system a while back and I am currently trying to get it working with a radio master pocket. I have managed to set up all channels with absolutely no problem with one exception. For some reason, despite being connected to the same channel (Channel 1) the motors begin spinning at completely different times. One motor works as intended using the full y axis of the stick. However the other only starts to turn above 50% throttle. I cant figure out how two things connected to the same channel can have different trim values and any alteration of the settings does not seem to change the amount the two are separated. I have had this exact receiver and channel setup work perfectly with my (now fried) previous transmitter so I dont think it is related to hardware. the only difference is the transmitter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are they on a Y harness, or do you have one plugged into channel 5 and mixed to channel 1? Because 5 is used for arming on ELRS so it's either on/off.

If it's a Y harness, try a different one. I just ran into this issue on my C-130.

Before swapping harnesses try recalibrating the ESCs as well just in case.

i feel like an idiot but recalibrating the ESC immediately fixed it. Thanks a ton for the help!
