David,

Do you have any way of contacting the specific Amazon seller directly? That might help, rick
I had a pretty good look, but there doesn't seem to be a way to contact them directly. Here's the seller...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HL7QPGR/?tag=lstir-20
I should have just ordered from Banggood in the first place. I wasn't sure of their delivery method and I don't have access to a mailbox where I currently am in Florida. I did order from Banggood and it did work out since I was able to choose a tracking option. USPS delivered to my door. Amazon said I could return their order but they won't pick it up... I'd have to drop it at a UPS store and it's a very long way from where I am... and I've no car. Lesson learned and $14 poorer. I choose Amazon in the first place since it read fullfilled by Amazon... but that's changed now.

EDIT: I've just had another look... and now an option to contact the seller is there... I sure didn't see it before. I just sent them a message. Thanks for making me have another look.

Hi Dagger,

I'll add ailerons that seem right to me and post it here in a few days.

With respect to a good first models, if you want to build one I like the Tiny Trainer.
Easy to learn to fly with the dihedral wing, and you can switch to the aileron wing as you improve.
I built that one myself and its a great model.

If you want to buy a RTF model, you can't go wrong with the Sport Cub S as it has SAFE mode to help newbies.
A friend of mine has one and it works great.

FT Flyer with Ailerons

Here's Dagger69's Flyer with ailerons, and I have to say that I enjoy it a lot more than the 3 channel version.
It's a blast - take it for a spin and see for yourself.

Unzip and install the pkg file as a Phoenix update and you'll find "Flitetest Flyer with Ailerons" in the electric list.
Detailed installation instructions: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zj2o7vx9b0315zj/Installing Model from a PKG File.pdf?dl=0

Its great to see @rickp has picked up the torch over here! As everyone is aware, Phoenix is off the shelf. I contacted Horizon support around the time they were slipping away and they provided me with a link to download the full version. I'm providing it here as abandonware, along with the email, including install instructions I received from them.

The ftp site contained is no longer working. Use this link instead.

You can now download the latest 5.5 version DVD and install this by doing the following:

- Download the following .zip file and save to a location you can find again:
*Do Not click the below link. You must copy and paste everything from ftp to zip and paste into a browser.
ftp://guest@109.228.13.122/Files/DVD/Phoenix DVD V5.5.zip

- Once successfully downloaded, locate the file and unzip into a temporary folder
- Once unzipped, open the temporary folder and run “setup.exe” inside
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install Phoenix
- Once the install has completed, you can safely delete both the .zip file and the temporary folder

I hope I'm not just missing the link and if I am I apologize. Has there been a FT Cruiser or MM Cruiser model built for Phoenix? The FT is on my to-do list for this weekend. I'm hoping I can get a few sim runs on while waiting in the ER... lol

I am unable to load the custom models into Phoenix using the abondonware version. I put them in the directory (although I have to add the Airplanes folder) but they don't show, I've tried on 2 computers now. Any ideas?

I'm trying to update to the latest version of 5.5 (5.5l) but the h to i download isn't available on RCgroups, but I will try to move them into the pheonix builder directory instead

You see, the updates need to be done in a consecutive order of g to h, h to i, i to j, j to k and finally k to l. The second update (h to i) is missing from the downloads, so I can't finish the update

I still did the updates that are there, the missing one doesn't matter it seems.

Ethanator10000, I posted this reply in RCG as well, but you can find that update in this folder https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uprvktg45nizdra/AAClIlvY45CyGCZ3JLT2oIF6a?dl=0

Are people still building these? I'd love to have the p-40 and goblin, so I can still fly them when the weather is crap.

Hi dogflight_uk,

Indeed this person still is. ;)

I'll add both to my queue and post here when done. It will be a few weeks.

Cheers, rick
