I’ve been spending a lot of time (and money) 3D printing my planes this year. I’m in the middle of reprinting my Eclipson Model 3D with the v2 plans and in LW ASA. While I’ve been waiting on the printer, I’ve turned my attention back to my Twin Otter. I’ve only had it out a few times and did not like the way it was flying, mainly because of all the down trim I had to use to get it to fly level. I went back and watched the build video again and sure enough, I was warned about it. I went ahead, and fixed it with a combination of a heat gun and cutting a lot of glue. Got it a lot more level. I also decided I was tired of flying a plain white plane so I gave it a little love with the help of some colored packing tape. Crazy how easy it is to use the packing tape with the makerboard.
Still need to adjust my differential thrust so I can steer on the ground a little easier. I wish this kit would have had a steerable nose wheel. Also need to figure out how to reattach the nose gear (something I wouldn’t have to do had this had a steerable nose
