Flying even the beginner Flite Test builds is harder than it looks (for a beginner)

The swappable spitfire looks great, but it also sounds fast and difficult. It can fly gently with a less experienced pilot?

I love that bit about backwards expo. Those are my kind of shenanigans. Yes, I flew the prebuild 400mm P-51 Mustang and got really confident at medium mode. I thought I was something. Then came the Mighty Mini with Sport wing and I was deeply humbled. I realized I had no skills. But since I put in the expo curves things are going much better.
Also, limiting the amount of Aileron movement helps as well, especially for the mini Mustang on full control.

I think I saw it on trade-a-plane a few years ago for something like $3 million. It's such an amazing plane. I think the Air Force needed a longer range fighter/bomber to expand on the p-51's abilities, and decided that two p51's together would solve the problem. Now you could have two pilots alternating flying with twin engine reliability and more fuel since you could lift more drop tanks and the guns got moved to the middle so you had all of the outer wings to have fuel. I'm pretty sure that only the left pilot had throttle, though. I could be wrong.

It was the only piston engined plane in the Korean war! (beginning of the jet age)
