I always enjoyed his birds. I remember watching his Hellcat article and waiting for the plans to release. He was a designer before I was even in the hobby so his designs were a little bit of an aspiration of mine at the time.

I don't know all the details but here is some info:

Website - http://www.flyingpenguinrc.com/
Facebook Group - https://www.facebook.com/FlyingPenguinRC
Youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAV2mFprESfO8DuuoMKVs2g
Unfunded Kickstarter - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/567352459/flying-penguin-rc-foam-board-rc-airplanes

I emailed him back on 3-16-15 and asked about his website being offline. He mentioned it would be up in June of 2015 and that he was returning to design work. After that he released the Jenny, Zero v2, and the Raptor later in 2015. He switched to for purchase plans and then went silent in 2016.

It seems he wanted to make a business out of his work but maybe it didn't work out as he expected. I'm not sure but it's a bummer, he did great work.

Too bad he hasn't been around anymore. I think he had one of the most intricate designs I've ever seen on this forum.
I guess it is not easy to make a good business out of designing foam planes, Flitetest is one of the only sucessfull cases I've seen...
Hopefully he'll come back to the comunity and release even more designs. If I like them enough after trying, I would be willing to buy some designs at some point.

Just found this post and I wanted to say thanks for all the kind words. And my website is back online. It takes allot of work to develop these designs as I am sure you know. My site did well, although when my daughter was born I simply didn't have the time. But a passion like this does not go away easy. Cheers Nic. Love your designs, Keep up the great work.

My site is back online and I am so happy to get back into this amazing hobby. Click here for website

I have been very busy these last several months, setting up my workshop and testing some new design and building ideas.
Here are some images of my new FP Mustang, Corsair and Penguin Wing 4.0. Sorry, no free plans on these birds, in a
perfect world I would just give it all away. Here in the real world I need to justify all the time I spend designing and developing
these models and the only way I can do that is to charge for the plans. I hope that makes sense to everyone. I do have all my
older designs for Free (Click here) on my site if anyone would like to download and give them a try. And if anyone would like to make a
donation I really do appreciate it, but its not required to get the free plans. Once I start to generate a few sales and have
something to fund this crazy venture I will be adding new designs to the free plans for all to enjoy. I believe the sharing of ideas
is one of the best things about this hobby.

And I also wanted to say Thank you for all the compliments and support I have received thus far. It is a amazing hobby and community,
it is a honor just to be a part of it.

Best Regards,

Marshall Dodge AKA - Flying Penguin RC

Hey,

I printed the plans for the Mustang a year or so ago. Just found them in my basement today so I started cutting foam. I've watched the build video but still have some questions.

I know that this is not the post for build questions but figured I'd say hey. I'll start a new post.

Plans look great!
