Help! FlySky FS-i6X transmitter not binding / inconsistent receiver response – need help

Hi everyone,

I’m having some trouble with a FlySky FS-i6X 2.4 GHz transmitter paired with an iA10B receiver, and I’m hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. I’ve tried multiple times but haven’t been able to fully resolve the issue.

Hardware reference (for model clarity): FlySky FS-i6X 2.4 GHz transmitter

Issue details:

  • Binding process sometimes completes, sometimes fails
  • Receiver LED behavior is inconsistent after power-up
  • Servos either don’t respond or respond intermittently
  • Tried rebinding multiple times with throttle at minimum
  • Tested with different power sources and servo connections

What I’ve already checked:

  1. AFHDS-2A mode is selected on the transmitter
  2. Model type and channel mapping look correct
  3. Failsafe has been reset
  4. No obvious wiring or power issues

At this point I’m not sure if this is a binding procedure detail, firmware setting, or receiver power/initialization issue that I’m overlooking.

If anyone has experience with the FS-i6X / iA10B combo, I’d really appreciate:

  • Common binding mistakes to watch out for
  • Any recommended transmitter settings
  • Known issues with this receiver and how to fix them

Thanks in advance for your help. I’m still learning RC systems, so any guidance would be very helpful.

Can you give us some pics on how you have it wired up when trying to bind it?

Why are you rebinding if it is successful?
Good question. I’m rebinding because although the bind process appears successful, the receiver behavior isn’t consistent after sometimes the LED state changes as expected, but the servo response is intermittent or missing. I wanted to rule out a partial or unstable bind before looking deeper into power, settings, or firmware-related causes.

Could it be because you are too close to it? I know with my FS-i6X if you have the remote right next to your receiver it can act jittery at the controls.

... the servo response is intermittent or missing....
Was the Rx in a crash?
Maybe a bad antenna. Take the case apart and look at the antenna wire right as it goes through the case. If you find any nick in the antenna wire, it needs to be repaired or replaced.

If the crash was bad enough something else could be wrong. I've had Rx's just loose bind for no reason, just sitting there & loose bind. That Rx is junk, damage beyond my ability to repair.

I use same radio.
Sometimes the transmitter radio is too close proximity to the receiver and will not bind. Had the issue myself. Simply turn everything off and make sure your transmitter is at least two or three feet away from the receiver.
