FOAM BOARD HJK SPEEDWING DISCUSSION

Well no, partly because the tiny bumps in Foamboard, but covering it in tape or covering film would fix that.
so what ur saying is if I cover up all tiny pups using glue and covering film use carbon spars and make the airframe super strong and have a super deep pocket I can make it happen ?

Probably, just remember that Foam doesn’t like fire!🤣
ok so now that we have established that a foamboard rc plane can.......theoretically reach those speeds I have another question why is it that there are no small rc planes that have reached those speeds planes like the micro monster have reached 200 mph but never have been able to reach 300 mph only big massive rc planes like the big monster are able to go that speed why is that is it impossible for a rc plane of that size to go 300 mph ?

the smallest rc plane to have gone 300 mph that I know of is a fiberglass funjet with a wingspan of 783mm ok well now that I think about it my mini apex has a wingspan of like 600mm so not that big off a dif the issue is that I cant find a small and powerful enough motor.

That will make it heaver don't forget....I would try with just plain foamboard first.
and also I dont think weight will matter.......the 2 motors im planning on using produce 2300g and 2800 grams of thrust so I dont think a couple hundred grams extra will matter........

You are going to have a lot of weight on a small wing span so it will be very difficult to fly already....add more weight and you will start having problems...Unless you decide to fly it like a helicopter! LOL
