hmm that is pretty fast I do have a idea how fast 175 mph is as iv seen planes like micro monster go that speed iv even seen some foambaord planes go a little less then that

mm probably yeah maybe not 5 inch quads but maybe just some tiny whoops will do and I already have a pwm expresslrs receiver so I was thinking about a radiomaster pocket

ngl I was lowkey thinking about using a frsky radio I was thinking about maybe buying a transit QX 7 or buying a twin x14 I know the twin x14 is better but I had my heart set on the QX 7 but im worried nobody uses the radio anymore and that it is a outdated radio and I also have no clue what receiver to use with the QX 7

hmmm makes sense and a quick update about me is that im genuinely thinking about making a carbon fiber apex phantom just saw a hjk speedwing fly at 370 mph and now im obsessed with breaking the 300 mph barriers im thinking about going full carbon for the apex phantom

300-500 mph and yeah u are correct for real speed take off the motor but dont I need to be at a real high place and need a lot of wing in order to reach those speeds wouldn't it be better for me to just make a carbon pylon like a big monster and reach those speeds
Of course it would be better, easier to make a big monster style plane. Just thought you would like to see what a world speed record looks like.
It's not for everyone. The planes are designed specifically for kinetic soaring. It's definitely nothing I'll ever try, and only a handful of people are even trying it.

well yeah im def one of those people willing to try it if I can just find this glider online somewhere or maybe I can design one I have this airplane that I developed in this thread that I call the "apex phantom" it was originally designed to be a 12s 200 mph foamboard pylon but now im thinking on turning it into a carbon fiber plane and who knows maybe go 300 plus mph
